Hey everyone! Nicky here! This is a donation post, I should have made this a while ago but anxiety basically kept me away and honestly I have a very hard time asking for help in general.
I have been out of college for almost a year now, sometime in August of last year while trying to sign up for more classes at my college for Fall Semester I was hit with one you might call a 399 review for the Financial Aid office. While I didn’t think much of it at first it ended up being a lot more serious than I realized. I was told there was some conflicting information in my FASFA and as a result i would not only be unable to enroll in more classes (as well as being able to transfer elsewhere since they’ve withheld my transcript) I would have to pay the amount of about two semesters at this college.
They were unable to tell me just what info conflicted as the money was already spent on the classes I took. They will not compromise on this balance and there are no payment arrangements i can make or even the possibility of still attending classes while paying it off. In order to continue with my degree I must pay the entire amount.
So far I’ve been able to collect about $1400 however that still leave the rest of the bill. I’ll screenshot what I owe below:
that would leave me with about $1081.45 left to pay. I also more screenshots of the bills:
I also have an obligations balance which also seems to have collected some interest over time, there was no way at the time that I could pay these bills in order to keep it from going into collections as I had no job at the time. Originally the bill was $1909 until the Obligations came through.
Right now I’m taking commissions ( you can read about that here: http://novathot.tumblr.com/post/175219163252/im-taking-commisions ) as well as doing a payment plan of sorts to pay off the rest of the amount. Any help given would be highly appreciated as I have other responsibilities I have to pay for monthly (Rent, Internet, food). This bill has caused me quite a bit of anxiety and trouble and i would also like to get back into school as soon as possible to try and finish my degree.
